Who I am, what I'm working on right now, how it all fits together – and how to reach me.
In short
I do performance marketing and a lot with AI. At the core, I look at where companies still do things by hand and rebuild those processes with AI – fully automated or with a human in the loop. Plus ads on Meta, Google and co. Employed at digitaleheimat, self-employed with BMP Digital, lecturer at Reutlingen University – and in between I build my own products. Also: a passionate athlete.
How it fits together
I develop ideas, bring them to life creatively and technically, take them out into the world and pass on what I know.
The common thread
Not a hard cut, more of an evolution. I started with sound: post-production for films, sound design. For my sound design I shot the first small making-ofs myself, then my first films for a club. During my computer science degree in Reutlingen, a professor really got me into video production. My business case from that: combine video and performance marketing – a company has a film made and gets it rolled out straight away as a campaign, with results you can measure. That's how I slid deeper and deeper into performance marketing.
And the AI?
My first contact came during my studies – machine learning back then, and pretty rudimentary compared with today. Since the early days of ChatGPT I've been using AI in performance marketing and building the processes around it so that a lot runs by itself and people stay where they're really needed.
In years
SAE Stuttgart from 2012 and eight years of Bengel Ton. Media and Communication Informatics in Reutlingen (2015–2019), working student in software development on the side. Since 2021 Bengel Medienproduktion, since 2023 digitaleheimat, since 2024 lecturer at the university. Sound, picture, code – and now AI on top.
Current focus
Building my own products with AI and talking about it, AI mentoring at digitaleheimat and the winter semester with seven media production workshops.
